Billy from kite passion let me demo a 14m flite since my 11m wasn't big enough for the wind conditions and I ended up having a wicked session. He even helped me untangle my lines after a self rescue earlier on in the night. I highly recommend taking lessons from KitePassion if you're interested in learning to kite board! He's a very compassionate instructor and will teach you to get out boosting big airs in no time.

Billy is an amazing kite surfing instructor and a great guy! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Billy. His expertise and experience in teaching is hard to find anywhere else in Ontario. He teaches his students to be safe and independent kite surfers.I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to learn from such an experienced instructor who makes everything into a learning experience. If you are looking to become a safe and independent kite surfer Billy is the guy! He also freely gives advice on equipment and takes the time to answer any questions regarding kite surfing or equipment. This guy has a lot of knowledge and his intention is to make his students the best kite surfers possible.If it wasn't for Billy's patient teaching style I probably would not be kite surfing any more.

Billy is very accomidating with his classes and keeps it as one on one as possible while accomidating peoples hectic schedules and constantly changing wind conditions. My husband & I are in our late 50's and decided it was not too late to learn to kite board. In researching instructors near us we chose to go with Billy. He was professional from the first phone call and was patient with all our questions and stayed in close communication when trying to book lessons around changing wind conditions.First and foremost he teaches SAFETY...enough can't be said about this. He took us through all the elements of setting up the kites and how all the gear works before we hit the water.With safety and set up out of the way we moved onto learning to control a power kite & body dragging. This came much easier for my husband than for me but Billy persisted & worked with us both at our levels.Unfortunately we started our lessons near the end of the season last summer and were not able to get to the riding stage with Billy through NO fault of his. We subsequently took more lessons when travelling BUT without Billy's lessons preparing us with the fundamentals and the SAFETY aspects we would not have had the same success.If you are looking for lessons we both recommend giving Billy a call.

I started taking lessons from Billy in May 2017. The 3 lessons that I took from him provided me with the skills to safely and confidently continue practicing this great sport on my own. Even after the lessons there is still lots of things to learn, big learning curve!What I like about Billy is that his teaching is broken down into an easy to learn format. Also, long after the lessons stopped, Billy is still helping me with tips and advice to improve and enjoy kite boarding. Love this sport!!

When I was learning Billy was my instructor and I’d recommend him to anyone that wants to learn. Occasionally I have the opportunity to make it out kiteboarding in his area and he is still teaching me things. Yesterday Billy gave me a much appreciated opportunity to ride the OR 10m Roam Allula and what a sweet ride it was! I found it really easy to fly, it was always with me and where it needed to be and the water relaunch in ridiculously light wind was simply amazing. Once the wind picked up it was on. I was on borrowed gear and out of my element and the kite was the least of my worries. It hauled me around and I had so much fun. I can’t wait to have my own gear and fly this kite! I truly believe if I had my own gear and foil I’d have been riding 5-6 knots without any trouble.

Bill is an excellent teacher! I started with little experience and by the end of 3 lessons I felt confident to start kiteboarding independently.Before connecting with Bill at Kite Passion, I took a lesson from a different company and I found their instruction to be confusing and overwhelming. I found the complete opposite with Billy who broke down each kite skill step-by-step and made it easy to learn all the skills required for kiteboarding!Billy's passion and excitement about kiteboarding is contagious! Learning from him was a pleasure, and I highly recommend his lessons for beginners.
