Have been kiting and travelling with CKSS for 3 years. Denys, Oleg, Lee and the crew are always enthusiastic, energetic and excited for newbies and seasoned riders to learn and become a part of the Toronto kiting community. The community is one of the best parts of the sport, and CKSS has the biggest mailing list and runs the best trips. Denys's CKSS is a great club, resource, lessons centre and even REPAIR shop (He's repaired 3 of my kites...don't bother trying on your own as like most trades, a professional is the way to go!) Thanks to Denys and all the other CKSSers. Its aways fun to learn from them, hear from them, and kite vicariously through them when I can't be on the water myself! Cheers. I took my first lessons with Denys in May 2017 at Cape Hatteras and stayed with the group for the whole season after that. There's quite a big community around CKSS. On a good day, there are 10-20 people kiting together at the same spot. You can ask for advice or they'll tell you themselves if you are doing something wrong.Denys runs a mailing list where people ask questions or post where they plan to kite. As a beginner, I found the list quite useful for figuring out where the best wind is on any given day. People sell their equipment on the list periodically and in my experience the deals are better than kijiji.

Had my first kite surfing lesson with CKSS at Turkey Point on Lake Erie. Dennis was thorough and patient, even when I almost let the kite fly into the trees just as we got started. He had me out in the lake maneuvering the kite in what seemed like minutes. The first lesson was tricky and tiring, but Dennis has a good sense of humor and made it a lot of fun. Anybody could learn to Kite Surf with CKSS.Looking forward to my next lesson.

If you are looking to learn kitesurfing - this is the place to go! Not only do you get lessons, but also a group of kitesurfers you can join everyday for safe riding! Highly recommended.

My Flysurfer, Naish and Cabrhina kites were repaired very professionally with great materials. Great Service for all kinds of kites. Great school with excellent record. Many times received help on the water and on land. Absolutely 100 % satisfaction. Also encourage you to pay membership. It will bring you lots of benefits such as discounts for purchasing equipment, repair, continuous updates on kiting conditions and locations. On top of everything very genuine, nice people. Love them!

Great day kiteing boarding with denys on lake Simcoe near beaverton ...was finally able to transition or as we call it a turn denys says ☺️ definitely makes you feel comfortable I even received some breathing advice but the dancing moves he has in the parking lot could use more work lol...great school!!!

Denys has been extremely supportive in helping myself and a friend get into the sport. We tried a school in Portugal (May2016-very commercialized) but made the most progress with Denys and his group during a trip to Hatteras (Oct2016). I can confidently state that ckss.ca is a great setup with amazing, very friendly/supportive society members. We are glad to be a part of it and recommend it for folks wanting to get into the sport.

Denny at CKSS was truly amazing in helping us get started with Kite Surfing. He focused a great deal on safety and understanding the fundamentals of the sport. Kiting can be intimidating and difficult to learn, we highly recommend the CKSS approach to learning and recommend the program to all looking to try out this sport.Gene

CKSS is a great community, there always seem to be people available to meet anytime of the week for kiting. I've taken lessons from 3 different locations. I would recommend Denys and CKSS instructors above any other. I received lessons from Denys 3 years ago and still meet up to kite today. He's always very helpful and full of great advice. Can't wait to see you all in Hatteras this year!
